About Brittney
Owner of The Mothers Circle, Labor Doula & Yoga Teacher, and Lover of Childbirth
Meet Brittney Passerell
First and foremost, I am a wife and mother to 3 incredible children. My journey into motherhood began when we lived in another state, eight hours from our families. At the time of my first pregnancy, I didn't have any friends who were moms either, and I felt called to begin building a community for myself. Initially starting out as a prenatal fitness focused group, I connected with some amazing moms and moms-to-be who I am fortunate enough to still be dear friends with. These friendships taught me that motherhood cannot and should not be done alone. Having a support circle is necessary to thrive as a mom, especially in the early days.
Each of my pregnancies, labors, births and postpartums were so different, and yet so similar at the same time. My path to doula work began during my early motherhood years as I felt and saw the need for more support in my own self and in my community. Having had a doula for all of my pregnancies and births, I deeply treasured the support I received and felt pulled to pour into other moms in this way. Although I love and cherish birth work, my heart has really felt called towards postpartum mothers recently. I have seen many women blindsided by the overwhelming rollercoaster that is postpartum. You deserve to have a circle of support around you as you journey into motherhood, and I want to be part of it. I love working one-on-one with moms and families as a doula, and I am beaming with excitement to reach even more families through my postpartum education class and guide! I consider it an honor that you have chosen to entrust me and what I know with your precious childbearing time.
After living for 10 years in Delaware, I am fortunate to be back residing in my home state of Ohio. I love to spend time outdoors gardening, bike riding, hiking, and going to the beach. I am an avid reader and baker and I guess you could consider me a “foodie” because I love cooking and eating delicious food. I am a lover of childbirth, yoga, dark chocolate, the color pink and all things crunchy, natural and holistic!
